I hope you’re all doing alright during this time of isolation. It’s been a challenge to say the least. I always thought isolation would bring inspiration but perhaps that’s only when you choose it for yourself instead of it being a government directive.
As we look forward to September 26, 2020, and the Wine Country Writing Festival we find ourselves still in a wait and see stance. The health and welfare of our guests is our most important consideration and decisions will be made accordingly.
Yesterday, in a televised new cast Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s Provincial Health Officer, announced there will be no “large events” happening in B.C. this summer.
Now, what that looks like –we don’t know yet. We know the P.N.E. (Pacific National Exhibition) will be cancelled but that’s involves thousands of people. Will it cause the cancellation of our 200 max Festival? It’s too early to tell.
Perhaps September 2020 will happen…perhaps it won’t… As soon as we make a decision we’ll advise everyone.
